One sure way to get what you want is to give enough other people what they want. Give and you shall be given.
When you provide something that benefits people, they reward you with money. If you can offer something of value to others, you can become rich. We all have that ability for wealth creation incubating inside us. To attain wealth and financial prosperity, simply create a lot of value for a lot of people, in whatever way you can.
Money is man-made idea. It is a store of value and medium of exchange for real or perceived value. It is a measure of your ability to create or deliver Value. VALUE is what people actually pay for with their MONEY.
Imagine that there is no paper money (Naira, Dollar, etc.), to trade with, and we are back to the days of trade-by-barter.
In that system, you went to the market with things you possess, and exchanged them for things you need. If you went to the market with lots of things of value to others, you certainly came back home with lots of things of value to yourself. That meant you were rich.
If on the other hand you went to the market with little of value to others, you regrettably came back home with little of value to yourself. That meant poverty!
To illustrate, if you went to the trade-by barter market with things of value for which you exchanged for one 50kg bag of rice; ten tubers of yams; and one 25 litre can of cooking oil, then you were rich, even without touching any paper money.
This shows that financial prosperity is not about paper money; it is about value addition! Paper money represents value added. Wealth Creation is about using what you have - talent, ability, training, education, knowledge and experience - to create value for others, and get rewarded. You can earn lots of money through the provision of products and services to people who need them.
For example, here in Aba, the Enyimba-City, millions of Naira is spent on food everyday by the populace. And all of this money goes into peoples’ pockets. Who are these people and how can you position yourself in the food value chain, so as to partake of these millions?
When you consider the expenditures in other areas of basic human needs such as Shelter, Clothing, Education, Health, Entertainment, and Transportation, you will agree with me that there is plenty of money floating all around you. Your task is to position yourself to grab some of it!
Services are always in great demand in the areas of basic human needs such as Food, Shelter, Clothing, Health and their numerous offshoots. Man has Educational and Spiritual needs. Our craving for information creates great demand in areas of InfoTech, Computer and Communication Technology. Others include Travel, Entertainment, Beauty, Fashion and Design, Tourism, Hospitality, and Recreation.
There are numerous sectors in which you can pitch your tent and serve the world. Obviously, different types and levels of service attract different levels and quantum of reward. The choice is yours!
You must offer something of value, in great enough quantity and quality, that gives you the type of money you want. Remember, when in service to humanity you do what you love, and love what you do, your success is assured because then, you are motivated to be the best you can ever be.
To become financially rich, you must first enrich others. Simply find a need and fill it. The intensity of your inner desire for wealth will propel you to the level of service you provide, and therefore the level of financial reward you attract. Serve small and you receive small; serve big and you receive big. Service is the answer!
"But this I say, he which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully." II Corinthians 9:6.
Nigeria’s population is about 250 million. If you can create a product or service that compels just one per cent of this population to give you just one Naira each, then you are already a multi-millionaire! Repeat this and you shall indeed be blessed according to the works of thy hand. Namaste!
