The recently reconstructed 6.5km Port-Harcourt Road in Aba, the Enyimba City, is a major link-road from the city-centre, running southward to join the Aba-Port Harcourt Highway, at the Alaoji Motor Parts Market.

The whole stretch of road is littered with micro and small business enterprises.

Business persons heaved a big sigh of relief as the completion of the reconstruction of Port-Harcourt Road in Aba, revived moribund businesses and greatly boosted the ease of doing business along that business axis of Enyimba City.

Business-wise, the Port-Harcourt Road axis is home to many micro and small businesses, especially in the electrical power equipment, road construction, and heavy-duty equipment and machinery sub-sectors of the automotive, industrial and logistics business.

Along the Port-Harcourt Road axis you will find many serious businesses dealing in both new and fairly used light and heavy duty power generators, power transformers, diesel engines, tractors, caterpillars, tanker and trailer bodies, tanker and trailer engines, high tension electrical cables, armored cables, water drilling equipment, and the accessories that go with all of the above.

There are also many schools, hotels, and several factories and manufacturing hubs, including machine-tools and foundries, in this business axis.

Also located along the Port-Harcourt Road business axis is the Ohabiam Electronics Market. This major market was specifically developed for businesses dealing (wholesale and retail) in all kinds of electronic products, components, parts and accessories; and all types of home, electrical and electronic appliances.

Unfortunately, the impassable state of Port-Harcourt Road for several years sent this market to sleep. Hopefully, the market will bounce back now that the reconstruction of Port-Harcourt Road, Aba is completed.

With the recent reconstruction of Port-Harcourt Road in Aba, residents are overjoyed, businesses are back on their feet, and the ease of doing business in Aba just got a shot in the arm. Bend down and see Aba!
