♥ Define Your Success
Define your success! If you don't know what you are looking for, how will you ever find it? If you don't have a destination, how will you ever get there?
What status, events, or financial capital will signal success - in your career, profession or business? When or how will you know that you are a success? Clearly define what success means to you so that you can celebrate when you achieve it! For example your target could be to grow your business to achieve a 5 million or 100 million Naira net worth.
♥ Locate Your Rightful Place
How do you know you are in the right business, profession or career for you?
When you are in your rightful place, you naturally love what you do, because you are doing what you love.
When you are in your rightful place, you have passion and drive for what you do.
When you are in your rightful place, you quickly cultivate the mental capacity and acumen for what you do.
When you are in your rightful place, your talents and skills are in accord with what you do.
When you are in your rightful place, you are relaxed, comfortable, happy and always willing to do what you do.
And what if you discover that you are not in your rightful place? Then make a change! It is never too late to make a change!
♥ Get Well Equipped
Now that you have defined your success; and are sure that you are in your rightful spot in business or the professions; your next move is to get properly equipped to serve and add value, to the best of your ability.
These include the right equipment and machinery, the right support personnel, the requisite trainings, etc. Also equip yourself with the right business psychology, mental attitude, temperament and customer care, so you can effectively relate with your staff, clients and customers.
♥ Add Value to Others
The main reason people give you their money is because you gave them something of Value in return. Elementary economics teaches that money is a store of value. Thus the more value you give the more money you get.
Success in life is all about adding Value; not ripping-off people. Never make money the primary target of going into business; rather strive to become rich and successful while genuinely serving and adding Value to make other people happy.
♥ Go the Extra Mile
While doing business or delivering products and services, always go the extra mile by giving more than is expected. Once you know what people expect from you, surprise them with that which they did not expect. I bet they won't forget you in a hurry!
Go the extra mile to brand, promote and differentiate your products or services by making simple positive tweaks that stand you out from the crowd. Don't just do what every other person is doing. Be proud to be different!
