Are You in the Right Business?
How do you know if you are in the right business for you?
You are in the right business for you if you love what you do; and you have the fitting mental and emotional personality required to excel in such a business.
When you are in the right business, you Love what you do.
When you are in the right business, you are Passionate about it.
When you are in the right business, your Head is in it (you have the right mental acumen).
When you are in the right business, your Heart is in it (you have the right emotional disposition).
When you are in the right business, your Hands are in it (you get physically involved whenever necessary).
If you discover that you are not in the right business for you, then you have to make a change (Deut. 1:6-8). It is never too late to make a change! (Gen. 12:4). Being in the right business for you makes it a lot easier to be successful and happy in business.

Do You Have What it Takes?
Now that you are in the right business for you, you must also have what it takes to successfully run or operate such a business.
1) Have the right mental attitude
You must be mentally alert to be able to freely, confidently and intelligently discuss, interact, handle and convince your customers and clients to do business with you.
2) Have the right temperament
You must be emotionally controlled and stable enough to be able to tolerate and absorb what some ill-mannered clients and customers may sometimes throw at you.
3) Get the right equipment
You must be properly equipped for the business you do. If any special equipment or gadgets are needed for the type of business you do, then do well to get the best of them. This has the effect of boosting client and customer confidence in your products and services.
4) Promote your business
Every business needs marketing and publicity. Choose the most appropriate medium through which to let prospective clients and customers know what you do; and what they stand to gain when they do business with you. If you don’t say here I am, nobody will know you are there.

Is Your Business Adding Value?
Firstly, remember that in business, people only give you their Money when you give or do something valuable for them. Value is what people pay for with their Money. Money is a store of Value. True success in life is about genuinely adding value and being rewarded for it; it is not about deceptively ripping-off people to get rich.

Secondly, remember that problems are the genesis of many a great and viable businesses today. Problems offer great opportunities for business success and profit. Do not be scared by problems; instead look at them as challenges to which you can find solutions. That singular solution could be what millions of other people are looking for. That solution could become a money-making business idea and opportunity.
Thirdly, remember that making money should not be the sole purpose to start a business. Instead aim to become rich by satisfying peoples’ needs and wants or solving their pressing problems. Find out what people need; then surprise them by giving it them, and even much more. That way, they won't forget you in a hurry!
